⧉Image Chairs And Stools: Furniture Rental Booklet

This rental certificate (in a handy pocket-format) was issued by a work unit in South-west China. It states that the worker to whom the certificate belonged rented a fifteen square meter (gongchi 公尺) flat in the work unit. They paid a monthly rent (yue zujin 月租金) of 1.60 yuan in August 1967. The rental fee was caculated per square meter per month. This person also rented two stools (zuodeng 坐凳) for a fee of 0.04 yuan per month. The booklet lists other types of furniture that could be rented including beds and dining tables. On subsequent pages, the certificate records the owner's monthly rental payments.
