'【新华社二十四日讯】“中国人民的胜利”五彩纪录电影片定于本月二十九日在全国十五大城市同时上演；中国人民革命军事委员会以荣誉奖状授予影片编导瓦尔拉莫夫。
这是在我国历史上具有空前高度的思想性和艺术水平的一部影片，它是描写中国人民革命伟大事迹的辉煌史诗，也是中苏两国人民不朽友谊和两国艺术家亲密合作的辉煌成果。
影片内容是以一九四九年十月一日，在毛泽东主席主持下，中华人民共和国开国大典的庄严灿烂的场面开始的。接着就回溯辛勤的中国人民，在美丽壮阔的河山上所创造的伟大的历史和丰富的文化：又叙述了近百年来，在帝国主义、封建主义、官僚资本主义的压迫下，中国人民的悲惨生活。接着，影片以无比绚烂的镜头，描绘了中国人民在中国共产党的领导下的英勇的革命事业的一步一步的开展。伟大的中国人民，虽然经历着重重苦难，终于越战越强，嬴得一个接着一个的胜利，推翻了反动统治，取得了震撼世界的四万万七千五百万人民的解放。这部影片将把新中国的光辉灿烂告诉全世界人民。
这部影片系我国北京电影制片厂和苏联中央文献电影制片厂联合摄制，由苏联名导演瓦尔拉莫夫担任编导，苏联名作家西蒙诺夫执笔写说明词，我国作家刘白羽担任文学顾问，我国吴本立、周峰任副导演。中苏两国电影工作者跋山涉水，不避艰辛，走遍了大半个中国，历时十月，始将影片摄制完成。
中国人民革命军事委员会中国人民解放军总部和中央人民政府文化部为了“中国人民的胜利”影片的卓越成功，曾分别举行了盛大的庆祝会，朱总司令曾亲以荣誉奖状授予影片编导瓦尔拉莫夫。
现在“中国人民的胜利”拷贝多部已由苏联赶运回国，将于本月二十九日开始，同时在北京、天津、张家口、沈阳、哈尔滨、大连、上海、南京、杭州、济南、汉口、广州、重庆、西安、迪化等十五大城市隆重上演，以迎接中华人民共和国的第一个国庆节。'
'The Victory of the Chinese People, a multi-color documentary film, is scheduled to be screened simultaneously in fifteen major cities of the country on the 29th of this month. The Chinese People's Revolutionary Military Committee have awarded a certificate of honor to the film director Varlamov.
This is a film with an unprecedented ideological and artistic achievement in our nation’s history. It’s a glorious epic depicting the great deeds of the Chinese people's revolution. It’s also the brilliant result of the immortal friendship between the Chinese and Soviet peoples and the close cooperation between the artists of the two countries.
The film begins with the grand and splendid scene of the founding ceremony of the People's Republic of China on October 1, 1949, overseen by Chairman Mao Zedong. Then it traces the great history and rich culture created by the hardworking Chinese people on magnificent rivers and mountains. It also describes the tragic lives Chinese people lived under the oppression of imperialism, feudalism and bureaucratic capitalism for nearly a hundred years. With unmatched color, the film depicts, step-by-step, the people’s revolution under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party. Despite multiple hardships, the great Chinese people became stronger in battle, won one victory after another, overthrew the reactionary rule, and achieved the liberation of the 47 million people who shocked the world. This film will tell the people of the world about the glory of New China.
The film was jointly produced by the Beijing Film Studio and the Soviet Central Documentary Film Studio. It was directed by the Soviet director Vallamov. The Soviet writer Simonov wrote the explanatory notes. The Chinese writer Liu Baiyu served as a literary consultant. China's Wu Benli and Zhou Feng are deputy directors. The film workers of China and the Soviet Union waded through the mountains and did not avoid hardships. For ten mouths, they traveled to most of China to complete the filming.
The People’s Liberation Army Headquarters of the Chinese People’s Revolutionary Armed Forces and the Ministry of Culture of the Central People’s Government held separate grand celebrations for the outstanding success of The Victory of the Chinese People. Commander-in-chief Zhu awarded the honorable certificate to the film director Varlamov.
Now numerous copies of The Victory of Chinese People have arrived from the Soviet Union. Starting from the 29th of this month, they will be screened simultaneously in fifteen major cities, including Beijing, Tianjin, Zhangjiakou, Shenyang, Harbin, Dalian, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Jinan, Hankou, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Xi'an and Dihua, to celebrate the first National Day of the People's Republic of China.'
